Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the Oathwise mobile app (the “App”) handles information. The App is developed and published by Faiz Dae (“we”, “us”), topjow.org. If you have a question, write to support@topjow.org.
1. Information we collect
We do not collect personal information. The App does not send your progress, answers, trips, case dates, receipt number, settings or any other information you enter to us or to anyone else. We do not use analytics, crash reporting or advertising services, and we do not track you across apps or websites.
2. Information stored only on your device
To work, the App saves the following in its private storage on your device. It is never uploaded by the App.

Your answers in the Form N-400 review are not saved; they are cleared when the App closes. You can delete stored information at any time: use “Reset study progress” in Settings, “Delete” in My case, remove a trip, or uninstall the App, which deletes all of it.
3. Permissions
- Microphone and speech recognition (optional). Used only after you tap a microphone button, to check your spoken answers and your reading practice. The words are recognized by your device’s speech service (Google on Android, Apple on iOS), which may process the audio on its servers under its own privacy policy (Google, Apple). The App does not record, save or send audio to us.
- Notifications (optional). Used only if you turn on the daily study reminder. Reminders are scheduled on your device.
- Internet. Used to download content updates and to open official websites in your browser.
4. Content updates
About once a day the App checks for updated study content (for example new officials after an election) and downloads it from our website, which is hosted by GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.). No personal information is sent with these requests. Like any web server, the host may record technical data such as your IP address in its logs under the GitHub Privacy Statement; we do not receive or use these logs.
5. Purchases
Oathwise Pro is an optional one-time purchase made through Google Play or the Apple App Store. The store processes the payment under its own terms and privacy policy; we never receive your payment details, name or email. The App only remembers on your device that Pro is unlocked, and asks the store to confirm or restore the purchase.
6. Text-to-speech and links
Questions are read aloud by your device’s text-to-speech engine. Links to official websites (such as uscis.gov) open in your browser; those websites have their own privacy policies.
7. Sharing and selling
We do not sell, rent, trade or share personal information, because we do not collect it.
8. Children
The App is meant for adults preparing for the U.S. naturalization interview and is not directed to children under 13. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
9. Security
Information stays in the App’s private storage on your device and is protected by your device’s security (such as its screen lock and encryption). Keep your device secure and up to date.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal information. Because we do not collect or hold personal information, you can exercise control directly in the App as described in section 2. If you have a request or a question, contact us and we will reply within 30 days.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the dates above. If a change affects how the App handles information, we will also say so in the App or in its store listing.
